WHAT’S IN YOUR BACKYARD?

-

Budding photographers will love getting involved with Junior Landcare’s new What’s in Your Backyard? competition, where they can snap photos of the great outdoors for a host of prizes.

“The ‘What’s in your backyard?’ campaign is a terrific way of getting children involved by encouraging them to grab a camera, or use a mobile phone, to capture photos of the flora and fauna in their backyard,” says Costa. “This can be anything from the pot plants on their balcony, worms in the compost bin, the park, local community garden or nature strip down the road, or the local wetland or beach. Children can then share their photos with me and Junior Landcare, and explain why their backyard is important to them.”

Entries close on October 31. Visit juniorlandcare.org.au for more info.
