TAKE A BREATH!

Say goodbye to stress in a flash with these easy exercises

-

It’s something we do all the time, but breathing correctly is something that a surprisingly small number of us have yet to master. Learning to breathe properly is one of the best things that you can do for your physical and mental health. Yoga instructor Kate Kendall from Flow Athletic shares this short exercise...

LONG SOOTHING EXHALATION WITH BREATH HOLD

Sit somewhere comfy or lie down and start to direct your breath all the way down into the belly. The key is to breathe “low and slow”.

After a few moments, breathe in to the count of three and exhale slowly for six, hold for three and begin the cycle again. Gradually build on the count (so in for four, out eight, hold for four etc). The main idea is to lengthen the exhalation and pause for a moment between breaths.

MORE EXERCISES TO TRY
