LISA & CARRIE: WHERE TO NOW?
The rumoured simmering feud between The Project stars Carrie Bickmore and Lisa Wilkinson reached boiling point last week when Carrie failed to mention her co-host in her farewell speech.
As Carrie announced her departure live, she simply looked to her co-hosts Peter Helliar, Hamish Macdonald and Kate Langbroek and said, “I’m going to miss my best mates on the desk.”
At the same time, Lisa, 62, wrote a lengthy and heartfelt post on Instagram – however, Carrie did not like or comment on the post at the time of going to print.
Lisa has also been tipped to be the next presenter to announce her exit from the show, but don’t expect her to be joining forces with Carrie in the future.
The pair reportedly fell out over Lisa’s rumoured multi-year contract, which required her to only join the star-studded panel a couple of nights a week while earning a whopping salary of $1.7 million per year.
At the time, Ten went to great lengths to hose down rumours of a feud between the two women, with the duo publicly denying rumours of any rift, but insiders confirmed there is certainly no love lost between them.
