PUTS BILL ON BLAST

-

Geena Davis has claimed she “should have walked out” after co-star Bill Murray allegedly harassed her on the set of 1990 comedy Quick Change. The 66-year-old actress claims the comedian insisted upon using a massage device called The Thumper on her, despite her protestations, when they first met in a hotel suite when she auditioned for her role in the movie.

“That was bad,” says the star. “The way he behaved at the first meeting… I should have walked out of that or profoundly defended myself, in which case I wouldn’t have got the part. I could have avoided that treatment if I’d known how to react or what to do during the audition. But, you know, I was so nonconfrontational that I just didn’t.”

The star says things then went from bad to worse on set, with Geena claiming the now 72-year-old – who was recently accused of misconduct during filming of comedy movie Being Mortal, which has since halted filming – yelled at her for being late in front of cast and crew when she was held up by wardrobe.

“There were easily more than 300 people there – and Murray was still screaming at me, for all to see and hear,” the actress revealed in her new memoir, Dying Of Politeness. It isn’t the first time Bill – who is yet to respond to Geena’s claims – has been accused of being disrespectful on set.
