Mount Wellington (Kunanyi) TAS

It may be the smallest state in Australia but it’s uniquely beautiful, and the view from Mount Wellington in Hobart is a must-see if you’re in the Apple Isle. With amazing sweeping views back over Hobart and southern Tasmania, the mountain towers 1271 metres about the city – and the view of it is almost as spectacular as the view from it. Boardwalks and lookout platforms abound so there’s always somewhere to stop and take it all in, but you can make like the locals do and cycle, walk – check out the Organ Pipes for something spectacular – and play in the winter snow here, too.
