Following Neil Patrick Harris’ exit from the show last year, Woman’s Day hears that Kate Ritchie desperately wanted Joel Creasey to replace him!
According to our spy, Kate pitched her Kate, Tim & Joel radio show co-host and close friend Joel, 32, to the show’s producers after Neil (inset) walked away, saying his quick wit and down-toearth Aussie demeanour would be a perfect replacement.
While Seven is said to have seriously considered him, “executives wanted an international name” and were concerned that Joel wasn’t the right fit for prime time, given his show, Take Me Out, bombed in the ratings when it aired on Seven in 2018.
