Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis have been forced to dismiss “scurrilous” claims after the couple’s former nanny went rogue, spilling dramatic details about the pair’s 2020 split, in a scandal that’s been dubbed “saladgate”.
According to the unnamed employee, the devastated Ted Lasso star threw himself under Olivia’s car in the midst of one explosive fight to try to prevent the 38-year-old actress leaving their home to see her new boyfriend Harry Styles, 28.
“Jason told me, ‘She made this salad and she made her special dressing and she’s leaving with her salad to have dinner with [Harry],” says the nanny, who cared for the pair’s two kids, Otis, eight, and Daisy, six.
She also claims the 47-year-old actor found out about Olivia’s romance with the As It Was singer on an Apple Watch she left behind at their home.
“After I’d got the kids ready, Jason came upstairs and was having some coffee. He was crying and a mess, saying, ‘She left us.
She left us!’” she shared, adding the TV star went on to ban anyone from playing Harry’s music in the house.
Olivia and Jason have rubbished the claims though.
“As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly,” the former couple said in a statement, before revealing that the nanny had been harassing them.
