EATS HUMBLE PIE!
James Corden was forced to “profusely” apologise to the owner of New York restaurant institution Balthazar after he was barred for “abusive” behaviour.
“I strongly believe in second chances,” says owner of the celebrity favourite haunt Keith Mcnally, who now believes the comedian “doesn’t deserve to be banned”.
But the restaurateur told a different tale previously, dubbing the 44-year-old TV host as one of the most troublesome patrons towards Balthazar servers since they opened 25 years ago, after the comedian visited with his wife on October 9. According to Keith, James’ prior visit in June didn’t exactly go down well with staff either.
This isn’t the first time the Late Late Show host has sparked rumours his friendly on-camera persona may be a front.
A recently resurfaced video from 2016 shows the star unable to name members of his own TV crew. “I found it so telling when Corden couldn’t name any of his cameramen during a segment on his own show,” tweeted one online commenter.
“There are a few celebrities that really take the cake, James is one,” tweeted one hospitality worker in response. “So rude!”
