LINCOLN BREAKS HIS SILENCE!

-

Lincoln Lewis has opened up about the “relief” he feels after a woman who pretended to be him to catfish unsuspecting people online was re-sentenced to four years in prison following an unsuccessful appeal.

Lydia Abdelmalek, 32, was convicted on six stalking charges earlier this year for pretending to be the Home And Away star and other actors to lure three victims using social media, one of whom took her own life in 2018 after discussing the trauma she’d experienced.

Taking to Twitter, Lincoln, 35, said it was “hard finding the proper words or to articulate the feeling of relief that the cruel and horrendous actions committed by this person starting over a decade ago has finally ended with justice prevailing”.

The actor also added he hopes “the sentence helps provide the victims, their families and those affected with some closure that can now help everyone heal and move forward”.

?? ?? The judge described Lydia’s crimes as “persistent and malicious”.
