GAMBLING FEARS FOR DAVID WARNER!

-

Candice Warner has made the shock admission that she keeps her multimillionaire husband, cricketer David Warner, on a budget so he doesn’t blow their mortgage payments on gambling! “His allowance is healthy. I’m the sensible spender while David is quite erratic and he loves to have a punt,” the 37-year-old confessed during a radio interview.

“David loves to buy a random horse or bet on the golf course, so he needs to have an allowance to keep our family going [and] make sure the mortgage gets paid.”

David, 36, has spoken about battling a gambling addiction in the past. “I had a gambling problem when I was 18 or 19,” the sports star confessed in 2015. “It was pokies. I sought counselling for a year.”

The parents-of-three have since managed to build up a multimillion-dollar property portfolio between them. But there’s no doubt former ironwoman Candice is now being extra cautious about cash after David revealed last week he plans to retire from Test cricket in the next year.
