THE HOSTS

Natalie Imbruglia, who is marking the milestone anniversar­y of her debut album, joins Aussie rocker G Flip and up-and-comer Ruel. “I am beyond excited to be returning home to Australia to co-host,” says Natalie. “This November marks the 25th anniversar­y of my first album, Left Of The Middle, so it will be a celebratio­n for me in many ways.”

THE PERFORMERS

The night’s live acts have been kept largely under wraps, but it’s safe to say that dance trio Rufus Du Sol, who are nominated for eight gongs, will play, as will hosts G Flip and Natalie, who may just belt out her number one

smash Torn.

THE NOMINEES

• It’s a big night for The Wiggles, with nomination­s for Best Children’s Album for Rewiggled and Best Australian Live Act for their Reunion/fruit Salad TV Big Show Tour. However, they have some stiff competitio­n from Midnight Oil, whose

Resist: The Final Tour is up for the same award.

• British megastar Adele is nominated for Most Popular Internatio­nal Artist, going head-tohead with Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Abba.

• Indigenous singer Baker Boy, who catapulted to the front of Australian hip hop recently, has scored eight nomination­s, including Best Hip Hop/ Rap Release for his album

Gela, and Best Solo Artist.

• Daniel Johns, who released his recent album

Futureneve­r while he was in rehab recovering from alcoholism, is also up for Best Solo Artist.

• Vanessa Amorosi is making a big comeback with her City Of Angels

album, landing a nomination for Best Soul/r&b Release.
