AUTHENTIC ARMOUR

Graham Chapman was an incredibly vital part of the Monty Python group, as his performances were often the most believable. Because of this, he normally played the leading role, such as King Arthur in the Holy Grail. In the film, the knights needed to look accurate, but the film had a tiny budget and therefore could not afford to give each character a fully realised wardrobe. So to make sure that King Arthur felt special, he was the only person given legitimate armour, which was quite heavy.
