Elvis’ granddaughter unveiled her new daughter at her mother’s funeral
The terrible tragedy of Lisa Marie Presley’s recent passing has revealed a surprising ray of hope for the devastated Presley family. Arriving on a private jet in Memphis ahead of her mother’s funeral at Graceland, 33-year-old Riley Keough was spotted holding a baby as she descended the stairs on a gloomy Tennessee day.
Hours later, her husband, Aussie stuntman Ben Smithpetersen, confirmed during a eulogy he read on behalf of Riley that the couple had welcomed a child – Lisa Marie’s granddaughter.

“Thank you for showing me love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters,” Ben said, reading a letter written by his distraught wife.
“The baby is the one thing that will hold the Presleys together,” sources close to Lisa Marie’s mum Priscilla tell Woman’s Day. “Lisa adored being a grandmother. It gave her a light at the end of the grief tunnel after losing her son Ben to suicide in 2020. They know Lisa would want them to keep pushing on for that little girl.”

Lisa’s funeral was a starstudded affair, and included a speech from her longtime friend Sarah, Duchess of York, and performances from Alanis Morissette and Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose.
But the most surprising attendee was Lisa’s ex-husband, 61-year-old guitarist Michael Lockwood. The former couple had been embroiled in a fiery custody battle over their 14-year-old twin daughters Harper and Finley.
CUSTODY RESOLVED
Michael – who travelled with the family and arrived with them at Graceland, where Lisa was laid to rest alongside her late father Elvis and son Ben – will reportedly receive full custody of the girls.
“Priscilla won’t stand in his way,” says a source. “They all just want peace.”
