We all know that famous post-workout high. But exercise holds way more power than that: it could actually help protect against depression, according to new research by the Black Dog Institute. The study is the largest of its kind, monitoring almost 34,000 adults over 11 years. The findings? That 12 per cent of depression cases could be prevented by just one hour of exercise a week. Amazing stuff!
