FOR THE EIGHTH YEAR RUNNING, WOMEN’S HEALTH HAS BROUGHT TOGETHER AUSTRALIA’S BEST AND BRIGHTEST FEMALE ATHLETES TO CELEBRATE THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS (AND RAISE A GLASS OR TWO TO AN EPIC YEAR!).HERE’S WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY ABOUT INSPIRING WOMEN TO TAKE UP THE GAME CATE CAMPBELL

Winner: Women’s Health Sportswoman of the Year & Comeback of the Year What a legend! Campbell took home two awards (including the top gong) after winning three gold medals at the Commonwealth Games, and another five gold at the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. “I am incredibly proud to come back and be competitive on the world scene again after taking some time away from the sport,” says Campbell. She’s also stoked to be working with the next-gen of swimmers. “I’m inspired by their passion. Sometimes I can get a little bit jaded in my old age, but to see the drive and the passion they exhibit every day inspires me. So, I hope it can be a fulfilling cycle: I inspire them, they inspire me, and together we make the world of swimming a better (and faster) place!”
