The best in Aussie sports came to­gether at this year's his­toric WinS Awards

"You can't be what you can't see," our edi­tor Jac­qui Mooney em­pha­sised to guests at our eighth an­nual Women's Health Women in Sport (WinS) Awards, And with the event be­ing the first-ever fe­male-only awards show to be aired on com­mer­cial tele­vi­sion, not only were these im­pres­sive sportswomen cel­e­brated on the night, they were broad­cast on the Seven Net­work for the whole of Aus­tralia to see, Hosted by Sun­rise pre­sen­ter Mark Beretta and for­mer swim­mer Gi­aan Rooney, the WinS Awards took place at Syd­ney's Hordern Pav­il­ion. Swim­mer Cate Camp­bell was the big win­ner on the night, her speech caus­ing a few tears when she took home Come­back of the Year and Sportswoman of the Year. Other high­lights were Rugby Aus­tralia CEO Raelene Cas­tle, who was named Per­son of Sport­ing In­flu­ence, and Ell­yse Perry, who won Mo­ment of the Year, We can't wait un­til we do it all again next year!
