Local Bunning’s employee and well known canoe coach Tim Roadley had his hair completely removed as part of the World’s Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation last Thursday.

As part of Bunnings’ Thursday Complimentary Tradies Food Day Tim provided the entertainment as Sarah Pigdon from Beyond The Fringe kindly volunteered her time to shave his wiry locks.

“The fundraising effort is for a great cause and I was happy to do it again this year,” Tim said.

“It provides families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need.

“You may not know it but blood cancer claims more lives than breast cancer or melanoma. And today another 35 people will be given the devastating news they have leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or another blood disorder,” Tim said.

Tim also thanked Bunnings, Sarah Pigdon and everyone that has supported the fundraising cause. You can still donate to Tim’s official World’s Greatest Shave fundraising page at www.worldsgreatestshave.com or make a donation in the fundraising box provided at the Bunnings’ Yarrawonga trade desk.
