In accordance with all the conditions of the permit we began burning at 5pm. Unfortunately the wind changed direction at about 7:30pm causing the smoke to settle over the town.

We begin planting on the second of April, and had been unable to obtain a permit from the relevant authorities prior to the 23rd of March. This dictates our burning off periods. Permit requirements do not allow us to begin burning until 5pm rather than at 2pm when weather conditions are more consistent and predictable.

Once again we apologise, but are working within the constraints of the permit that is issued. Chris and Libby Dowling.
