Ju­nior Rangers fun

Parks Vic­to­ria is run­ning a Ju­nior Ranger Pro­gram ini­tia­tive with events and work­shops to be held through­out the Easter school hol­i­days be­tween Yar­ra­wonga and Co­bram.

The Minibeast Dis­cov­ery will be held at the Yar­ra­wonga boat ramp, ac­cess off Cul­lens Road on Mon­day, April 9 from 10.30am to 11.30am.

The ju­nior rangers will be able to learn about aquatic in­ver­te­brates and dis­cover what they can tell us about the health of wet­land ecosys­tems. By mon­i­tor­ing in­ver­te­brate pop­u­la­tions, we can gain an in­sight to the health of the ecosys­tem and take ac­tions to ben­e­fit wa­ter ways through­out our catch­ment.

This event is suit­able for chil­dren aged 6-12 ac­com­pa­nied by a par­ent or guardian.

Reg­is­tra­tions for th­ese events will be open from a week be­fore school hol­i­days start.
