Rennie have ended their season sixth on the ladder and will take on Berrigan at Yarroweyah on Sunday in an elimination final.
In wintery conditions at Mathoura the Hoppers defeated the Timbercutters by 67 points.
Rennie had the breeze in term 1 but encountered an opponent happy to put players behind the ball and found it difficult to slice their way through.
The two pronged attack of Willett and Strawhorn supported by evergreen veterans O’Bryan and Wolfe were standouts.
Rennie extended their lead from 22 to 30 in a tough slog term 2.
The conditions were deteriorating and quality of play not a lot better.
Rennie doubled their lead to 60 in term 3 as Bruce and Ryan provided some run.
The game petered out with Strawhorn ending with 6 goals to take his tally to 74 from 11 games.
Willett ended with 4 in his best return for the season.
Best were Willett, O’Bryan and Wolfe. Rennie won 11 games in the home and away.
Mathoura 1.0.6 defeated by Rennie 14.16.100.
The ressies won by 94 points to end sixth and play Jerilderie in an elimination final.
A six goal start set the tone for the day as the forward pack of Boulton, Zanker and Garner feasted. Again young Shawy played well stepping up a grade, with Page solid and Beavis finding form in a return from injury.
Boulton 4, Garner 3 and Zanker 2 were the multiples.

The Hoppers won by 66 points to end third on the ladder. They take on Katunga in a qualifying final.
A six goal burst in the first term took the game away from the Timbercutters and coach Stephens was afforded the luxury of player rotations as he comes up with his finals squad.
