Ren­nie have ended their sea­son sixth on the lad­der and will take on Ber­ri­gan at Yar­roweyah on Sun­day in an elim­i­na­tion fi­nal.

In win­tery con­di­tions at Mathoura the Hop­pers de­feated the Tim­ber­cut­ters by 67 points.

Ren­nie had the breeze in term 1 but en­coun­tered an op­po­nent happy to put play­ers be­hind the ball and found it dif­fi­cult to slice their way through.

The two pronged at­tack of Wil­lett and Strawhorn sup­ported by ev­er­green vet­er­ans O’Bryan and Wolfe were stand­outs.

Ren­nie ex­tended their lead from 22 to 30 in a tough slog term 2.

The con­di­tions were de­te­ri­o­rat­ing and qual­ity of play not a lot bet­ter.

Ren­nie dou­bled their lead to 60 in term 3 as Bruce and Ryan pro­vided some run.

The game pe­tered out with Strawhorn end­ing with 6 goals to take his tally to 74 from 11 games.

Wil­lett ended with 4 in his best re­turn for the sea­son.

Best were Wil­lett, O’Bryan and Wolfe. Ren­nie won 11 games in the home and away.

Mathoura 1.0.6 de­feated by Ren­nie 14.16.100.

The ressies won by 94 points to end sixth and play Jer­ilderie in an elim­i­na­tion fi­nal.

A six goal start set the tone for the day as the for­ward pack of Boul­ton, Zanker and Gar­ner feasted. Again young Shawy played well step­ping up a grade, with Page solid and Beavis find­ing form in a re­turn from in­jury.

Boul­ton 4, Gar­ner 3 and Zanker 2 were the mul­ti­ples.

Ren­nie won 10 games in the home and away. 41

The Hop­pers won by 66 points to end third on the lad­der. They take on Katunga in a qual­i­fy­ing fi­nal.

A six goal burst in the first term took the game away from the Tim­ber­cut­ters and coach Stephens was af­forded the lux­ury of player ro­ta­tions as he comes up with his fi­nals squad.

Match high­light was Jesse Bro­gan’s amaz­ing goal from the bound­ary.

Ren­nie won 15 games in the home and away sea­son.
