Al­ways a pop­u­lar fea­ture of Yar­ra­wonga Mul­wala’s Agri­cul­tural Show is the full sched­ule of horse events.

With a large sched­ule on Satur­day, the Horse Ring events will be held on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 5 on the arena to show­case the plethora of horses and riders in at­ten­dance.

All three of the ring events will com­mence at 9am with over 179 cat­e­gories across the 3 ring events.

The horse events are a much-loved tra­di­tion at agri­cul­tural shows and this year a va­ri­ety of com­pe­ti­tions will be held through­out the day.

There will be three rings of cat­e­gories which in­clude events for ponies, led and rid­den Hacks and rid­den Gal­loways for en­trants from the age of 6 to adults.

All cham­pion ex­hibits in ring 1 and 2 are to re­ceive a bag of Baras­toc Horse feed gen­er­ously do­nated by WB Hunter Yar­ra­wonga.

There will be no gate charge for the pub­lic but a flat $10 per ve­hi­cle for each horse ex­hibitors.

Along­side the horse events the Dogs Vic­to­ria Sanc­tioned Dog Show will also be held to give these spe­cial pooches their own time to shine.

Judg­ing will com­mence at 9:30am with groups of good boys and girls in­clud­ing Hounds, Gun­dogs, Toys, Ter­ri­ers, Work­ing Dogs, Util­i­ties and Non- Sport­ing to com­pete.

A va­ri­ety of prizes are up for grabs with the event being judged by dif­fer­ing judges for grouped cat­e­gories.

En­tries close on Fri­day, Septem­ber 14 with an en­try fee for dog ex­hibitors $5 per ex­tra pass.

Hot and cold food along­side cof­fee and drinks will avail­able for pur­chase.

Ev­ery­one is wel­come to at­tend and watch these great events free of charge so bring a chair or sit in the Grand Stand and en­joy the day’s events.

To con­tinue on into the night, the sideshow al­ley will be open from 5pm – 9pm at $5 en­try per per­son.
