No horsing around in a dogs world
Always a popular feature of Yarrawonga Mulwala’s Agricultural Show is the full schedule of horse events.
With a large schedule on Saturday, the Horse Ring events will be held on Friday, October 5 on the arena to showcase the plethora of horses and riders in attendance.
All three of the ring events will commence at 9am with over 179 categories across the 3 ring events.
The horse events are a much-loved tradition at agricultural shows and this year a variety of competitions will be held throughout the day.
There will be three rings of categories which include events for ponies, led and ridden Hacks and ridden Galloways for entrants from the age of 6 to adults.
All champion exhibits in ring 1 and 2 are to receive a bag of Barastoc Horse feed generously donated by WB Hunter Yarrawonga.
There will be no gate charge for the public but a flat $10 per vehicle for each horse exhibitors.
Alongside the horse events the Dogs Victoria Sanctioned Dog Show will also be held to give these special pooches their own time to shine.
Judging will commence at 9:30am with groups of good boys and girls including Hounds, Gundogs, Toys, Terriers, Working Dogs, Utilities and Non- Sporting to compete.
A variety of prizes are up for grabs with the event being judged by differing judges for grouped categories.
Entries close on Friday, September 14 with an entry fee for dog exhibitors $5 per extra pass.
Hot and cold food alongside coffee and drinks will available for purchase.
Everyone is welcome to attend and watch these great events free of charge so bring a chair or sit in the Grand Stand and enjoy the day’s events.
To continue on into the night, the sideshow alley will be open from 5pm – 9pm at $5 entry per person.
