Yarrawonga Chronicle - - Classies -

After posting a solid 96 runs in week 1, the Under 14 Rams were looking to defend on the Mulwala oval.

The Colts bats applied themselves well and although losing regular wickets were closing in on the Rams tally.

This bought Ollie Connell and Jobe Fraser to the bowling crease and with them a complete turnaround in the match.

Bowling great line and length they slowed the Colts batting and between them claimed 6 wickets for just 8 runs in a great bowling partnership.

At 9 wickets for 84 runs the Colts were struggling but retired batsmen Walton had other ideas when he returned to the crease.

Batting nicely the last pair moved the score to 95 with just 2 balls to come.

Two nice shots got the Colts home by just 3 runs in a very tight game and great start to the season by both sides.

Nice catches were taken by Jeremy Bramich and Jett Peters with Jett also getting a great run out.

Wickets went to Ollie Connell 3, Jobe Fraser 3 and Jett Peters 1.

A good team performance with room for improvement in the coming weeks.

Well done Rams.

Awards: Ollie Cope week 1, Jobe Fraser week 2.

Jobe Fraser.
