Light up for Christmas

-

The Yarrawonga Foreshore will be abuzz with colour this Saturday as the festive spirit comes to the town for the first day of December.

The Yarrawonga Christmas Decoration Committee, which is a small group of enthusiastic locals who want to create joy and a sense of celebration to the town over the Christmas period, would like to invite the community to the Yarrawonga Foreshore (near Aquazone) this Saturday, December 1 from 7pm to 10pm to witness the turning on of the Christmas lights on the large tree on the corner of Hunt and Melbourne Streets.

To help spread the festive spirit across town a small family festival will also take place with live entertainment, activities for kids, food and drinks and a special guest to turn on the lights with Santa and Rudolph also in attendance.

Come along and enjoy this family friendly festivity at the Yarrawonga Foreshore on Saturday night with the Christmas lights to be turned on at 9pm and plenty of Christmas joy on offer.

Hard work by the Yarrawonga Christmas Decoration Committee has already began to bring Yarrawonga’s main street alight with 40 Christmas trees constructed by the Yarrawonga Mulwala Men’s Shed and put in place by the Yarrawonga Football Netball Club last week just the start of the festive season excitement.
