ON THE LAND Rotary supports the farming community

Yarrawonga Chronicle - - On The Land -

The Yarrawonga Mulwala Rotary Club recently conducted a very successful Hay Day Appeal where the public contributed to a load of hay sent to struggling farmers in northern NSW.

The amount donated was matched by the club to finance this project.

The generosity shown, and the feedback expressed by the community during this appeal was a clear indication of the community desire to support farming families in difficult times.

Furthermore, the sentiment was expressed that attention could be directed to local farmers, some of whom are facing great personal distress this year, as a result of the continued dry weather.

The club is working with Yarrawonga Health Community Services to develop a program aimed at addressing Men’s Mental Health in rural communities and a group of Rotarians have joined the hair growing set, to raise money towards the program.

To support this “Grovember” initiative, please donate at BSB 013 945, A/c 287409777, Reference; Grovember.
