Yarrawonga Health ‘pay it forward’
al support of the Ignite Life Church to assist vulnerable people/families in the community.
“Our previous years’ appeals have been extremely successful and there is a recognised need within our community.” said Yarrawonga Health’s Stephanie Kennedy.
“We will continue to endeavour to fill that need but we need support from members of the community to enable us to deliver this assistance.”
This year Yarrawonga Health is partnering with the combined churches of Yarrawonga, who have pledged a financial donation, as well as Foodshare who will assist with the food hampers.
There will be Christmas trees to accept donations at Judd’s Mensland, ClubMulwala and Country Buddies where children’s presents, vouchers and donations will be accepted.
ClubMulwala will also continue their support with non-perishable food items and gifts from their “Gift Tree” to the Yarrawonga Health Christmas appeal, along with any donations from their members and guests.
Vinnies will also be contributing to filling the need within the community.
“With all groups working together, hopefully we will be able to assist our vulnerable children, adults and families at a very financially stressful time of year,” said Ms Kennedy.
“Last year the staff delivered the presents to each individual family, the look on their faces is priceless and what Christmas in a community such as Yarrawonga is all about.”
Anyone wishing to donate to this cause in anyway, please contact Yarrawonga Health Community Services, or leave your donation at Judd’s Mensland, ClubMulwala or Country Buddies.
Families can register for assistance by contacting Yarrawonga Health Community Services on 5743 8111 with registrations closing on December 14.
