After bad weather washed out the Yarrawonga Rodeo last year, the weather gods were on the locals side this year with great crowds enjoying the entertainment and action on offer.

A staple on the Yarrawonga Mulwala calendar, the annual event, which was held at the Yarrawonga Show Grounds last Friday, has become a firm favourite with local families and visitors to the area and was well received with many locals and travelling participants taking part.

“The Rodeo went really well and this year it was a bit warm, much different to last year,” event organiser Jan Parker said.

“Numbers were up on last year and we had a great crowd.”

The prestigious John Collins Memorial Saddle Bronc Buckle was won by Queenslander Cameron Webster.

Co-event organiser Brett Ryan said it was great to see the local community get behind the event year in and year out.

“We’d love to thank our sponsors for all their help and the community, without local support we wouldn’t be able to have the event,” Brett said.
