Jingle all the way to Wilby

Yarrawonga Chronicle - - On The Land -

Lots of children and their families jingled all the way to Wilby Recreation Reserve on Friday, December 21 for the Annual Christmas Tree.

This year the tree was a very stylish and very Aussie Gum. There was a delicious barbecue and array of tasty food on offer. An impromptu game of cricket and the ever popular playground kept the children busy until suddenly a siren sounded and Santa arrived in style on the back of the fire truck. As the jolly man in red alighted he was surrounded by a crowd of excited children. Then Santa handed out toys and a bag of lollies to each child which produced plenty of happy faces. It was a heart-felt special Christmas after the recent tragedy in Wilby. The evening always gives the community a great opportunity to get together at the end of the year for fun and relaxation. Thanks to the sponsors - Taylor Made Window Creations, Yarrawonga Mulwala Physiotherapy and Kalaminda Dorpers as well as the mothers who organised the event.
