Mul­wala leads build­ing ac­tiv­ity

As usual, Mul­wala has re­ceived the most build­ing per­mits over the four-week pe­ri­ods to mid Novem­ber and mid De­cem­ber in the Fed­er­a­tion Coun­cil area.

Nine ap­provals in Novem­ber in­cluded al­ter­ations to dwelling, pool house and shed for a King­fisher Drive home and 12 stor­age units for McCarthy Street on Mul­wala Busi­ness Park.

Other per­mits were: de­mo­li­tion, garage and al­fresco, Pim­pala Cres­cent; swim­ming pool, Wanani Road; four sheds - Pim­pala Cres­cent, Cy­press Way, Coobah Road and Wanani Road; hay shed, Spring Drive.

For the four-week pe­riod, there was a to­tal of 19 build­ing per­mits worth a com­bined value of $M4.5 for the Fed­er­a­tion Coun­cil area.

From mid Novem­ber to mid De­cem­ber, Mul­wala recorded seven of the coun­cil’s 14 per­mits, which in­cluded a dual oc­cu­pancy dwelling for Sturt Street.

A per­mit for food shop al­ter­ations in Mel­bourne Street re­ceived the go-ahead, as did: car­port and per­gola, Inglis Street; bal­cony re­place­ment, Mel­bourne Street, three sheds – Cy­press Way, Gre­vil­lea Ter­race, Corowa Road.

Coun­cil’s 14-is­sued ap­provals equated to an over­all value of $1.4m.
