Join in fun at toy library

-

Kelsey and Rona are two first time mums who thought that restarting the toy library was a great idea for parents and children alike.

“We are currently revitalising the group and are hoping to have it reopen again soon,” Kelsey said.

“It will be great not only for the children to be able to play with some great toys and make new friends, but parents can come down and mingle as well.”

The toy library, which started in 1991 has some great resources and is not just for children but for parents to get to know the services in town.

They also took part in the Kids Open Play and Family Support Expo which was organised by Carol Henderson on behalf of and with the assistance of the Yarrawonga Community Action Group to try to help the Toy Library keep going and support local young families.

“There are heaps of great toys still available in storage for the toy library, so we are looking forward to starting it up again soon,” Rona added.

“We are also looking for more people to join the little committee so if anyone would like to get involved, just contact Kelsey or myself.”

The two new mums are hoping the group will be reopen before the end of the year with more information to come.

To take part or for more information contact Kelsey on 0407 891 825 or Rona on 0428 355 911.

A new committee has taken over the Yarrawonga Mulwala Toy Library after a number of years in recess and is asking the community to take part.
