Bears raring for exciting
well-rounded unit. The defence has been miserly all season and will be aiming to keep this going during finals.
Angus Ford, Jarrod O’Shea and Tom Irvine have held down the key positions, while Dylan Scott, Wally Thomson, Will Sharp, Mitch Adkins and Des O’Kane will look to give plenty of drive and rebound.
The aim is to go deep into the finals series and if you get far enough, anything can happen.
The Reserves have also had a strong season with co-coaches Alan Richardson and Justin Saunders both being able to manage their list to peak into the final’s series.
They will also finish second or third having only lost the one game to Rennie earlier in the season.
They have a great blend of youth and experience in all areas of the ground and with the league leading goal kicker Jake Henderson (36 goals) coming out of the square they have a real focal point. The only question mark the reserves face is not playing for six weeks prior to a final ideal preparation for a reserves team?
Hopefully they can answer that with an exclamation point in a couple of weeks’ time.
The Under 14s have kept building as the season progressed and will likely finish in third position. Ryan Walker and Jason Arnold are developing these young men beautifully and their improvement since round one has – been amazing.
They share the load evenly throughout the group, with captains Jayden Arnold and Lucas Ealles leading the way.
Jake Walker is the leading goal scorer with 12 while Lachy Wren has kicked eight.
With the way the boys have improved anything can happen in the finals series and the coaches haven’t put a ceiling on what they can achieve.
