Boating, fishing, skiing allowed
Local residents can grab their boat go for a fish, even go for a ski as exercise so long as they remain within their LGA and be no further than 5km from their home.
According to the NSW Government Public Health Order updates late last week recreational boating and fishing, like golf is allowed, however the same restrictions apply as with exercise and recreation on land where you must remain within your LGA or be no further than 5km from your residence.
According to www.betterboating.vic.gov.au, boating and fishing is also permitted for Victorians for up to two hours per day, again within 5km of their home and with only one other person (plus dependants if they cannot be left unattended).
To access a boat ramp it must be in your LGA or within 5km from your home. You must also observe physical distancing and mask – wearing rules in both states.
However Victorian residents are still not permitted to play golf or use outdoor playgrounds, skateparks, basketball courts and gym equipment.
