Learn and grow through the Play Projects

The Play Projects, which is located at 12 Woods Road Yarrawonga, provides support for children and young people with disabilities.

Created by Kaitlyn Cummins (nee Bourke), The Play Projects employs a team of 35 allied health professionals who specialise in working with young people and their families.

One of the most popular programs on offer is the Skills Development Program which is designed to assist NDIS participants particularly those leaving high school to develop their executive functioning and work readiness skills.

“The goal is to make it easier for them to learn and develop the skills necessary to take care of themselves and find meaningful paid or volunteer work in the future,” Kait said.

“We use our farm in Wahgunyah as well as partnerships with CVGT and local support workers and businesses to help our participants find roles that suit them best.”

The program which is implemented by a team of Allied Health Professionals works with the individual and their family to identify their goals and interests to help them to develop the skills they need to find work or volunteering opportunities in their chosen field.
