There were plenty of red and blue, and red, white and blue colours when two families got together at Yarrawonga College P-12 last week.

Members of the Pendergast family, Mum Belinda and sons Ned, Mac and Darby are excited about this Saturday’s grand-final in Perth.

“I’ve supported the Demons since I met my husband twenty years ago,” Year 3 college teacher Mrs Pendergast told the Yarrawonga Chronicle.

“My husband Scott couldn’t be here for this photograph but he’s so passionate about the Demons.

“We’re all excited and believe we’ve got a good chance.” Mum Sari Hunt has been following the Western Bulldogs since she was just six months old. “I just picked up this Bulldogs’ football off the shelf, when I was in Wonthaggi and barracked for them ever since,” she recalled.

Two members of the Hunt household don’t barrack for the Bulldogs. But Mrs Hunt is a strong supporter of the team she believes will win its third VFL/AFL flag. Her children looked magnificent in the colours of the Australian Flag. More page 3 and page 24.
