Goulburn Valley Libraries will be ‘Going Wild’ these school holidays. The very popular #TakeHome craft packs back again to encourage a bit of creativity.

Inside every pack are four different wild animal crafts to make. They include templates, instructio­ns and any additional extras required to finish each animal.

These activities are great for all ages and can easily be made by younger children with a little bit of grown-up help.

If you have crayons, pencils, or textas, as well as glue and some scissors, you have all you need to complete all four crafts.

You can pick up your craft packs at the Yarrawonga library and Mobile Library during open hours from Saturday, September 18 until Sunday, October 3.

Templates will also be available to download and print on the website www.gvlibrarie­s.com.au/holidays.

Visit the website and you will also find #StayAtHome Storytime videos that each have a craft activity to download, as well as access to many other great resources such as Storybox Library, Kanopy Kids, BusyCode, BorrowBox, LOTE Online for Kids and so much more.

The popular Rhyme & Story Times will return as soon as more soon as more people are able to be welcomed back into the libraries.

Byramine Homestead were super excited to reopen last Saturday, September 18 and welcomed families to come along and enjoy the fun during the school holidays.

A great range of Beer, Cider, Wines and lunches to enjoy while you visit the historical Byramine Homestead & Brewery.

Free holiday fun includes: a very competitiv­e colouring competitio­n. Colour the best picture of the historical homestead and you could win a $50 voucher for your family.

Homestead trivia hunt – kids can explore the oldest homestead in Victoria, answering a series of questions during the adventure.

All completed entries go into a draw to win a $50 voucher for the family. *Children must be accompanie­d by a paying adult for a tour to complete the trivia hunt.

Every child will receive a free chocolate frog. Activities will run between 10 am and 4pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays for the rest of September and the first three days of October.
