Firm message for cricketers
Club coach Michael Drake arranged for Yarrawonga football champion Drew Barnes to take the cricketers through their paces at training.
“Not only did Drew provide tips, he delivered a session that had the squad working hard but having fun while completing the challenges,” Drake said.
Barnes was introduced to the players by Yarrawonga football premiership coach Chris Kennedy who praised Barnes’ work ethics and toughness.
Players were warned against complacency by Barnes and that the club’s recent success required the group “to put in the hard yards and not take short cuts” if it is to taste the fruits of success again this season.
Having Barnes at training is an example of Drake’s plans to have successful people share their views and thoughts on preparing for and sustaining success.
A message to guard against any complacency by top team Yarrawonga Mulwala Cricket Club was delivered by last Sunday.
