Cuppa and chat

A Barooga resident is opening her home to people who are feeling lonely and need a friend to listen.

Janet Boyd-McCormack said once COVID-19 restrictions allowed for visitors to the home, she would welcome people in for a coffee and a chat.

“Anyone who wants to talk about something is welcome,” she said.

“Everybody is mental but we all need help from time to time.

“I found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and it wasn’t monetary — it was love, faith, hope — charity.”

Ms Boyd-McCormack asked visitors to bring a chair and a plate of food to share.

She plans to showcase her collectables to those who are interested, including Brownie Downing ceramics.

Ms Boyd-McCormack’s home is at 7-9 Snell Rd, Barooga.
