President Danielle Skehan said the funding will help the centre to survive and thrive through challenging times.

“Although COVID restrictions have hit our families and town hard, our numbers have almost doubled since last year,” she said.

“The Coles grant will help us manage this growth with a new high jump scissor mat for the Under 8s, 9’s and 10’s. This will allow us to introduce high jump to these younger athletes as the scissor technique is now compulsory for these age groups.

Yarrawonga Mulwala Little Athletics Centre is jumping a funding hurdle this season with a $3,200 grant from the Coles Little Athletics Community Fund to buy brand new equipment.
