Fun and fashion returns to Mulwala

-

Locals eager to don their race-day attire and enjoy a long overdue day out with friends are snapping up tickets to the Annual Oaks Day events at both ClubMulwala and Mulwala Water Ski Club on Thursday, November 4.

ClubMulwala’s Oaks Day luncheon has been a popular event on the social calendar over many years and having missed last year due to Covid restrictions, it seems the local community is keen to return in numbers to social gatherings.

Functions co-ordinator of ClubMulwala Lisa Ramadge said there is an air of anticipation about the event given so many functions have been cancelled across the state in the last few months.

“We’re noticing how excited people are to be finally able to spend time with friends socially and enjoy good food, wine and live entertainment,” she said.

The Oaks Day luncheon is held in the spacious ANZAC Lounge at ClubMulwala and includes a delicious two course luncheon, a glass of DeBortoli champagne on arrival plus $10 cocktails and live music.

“We will have the actual Oaks Day races on the big screen as well as our own ‘Fashions on the Field’ plus giveaways and lots of fun,” said Ms Ramadge

Tickets are limited for the Oaks Day luncheon and available at ClubMulwala reception.

Staff at the Mulwala Water Ski Club are inviting locals and visitors to join them this Oaks Day on the Malibu Deck. It’s free to enjoy but with limited tickets bookings are essential.

There are a number of freebies on the day including a free picnic pack and a free glass of Rothbury wine on arrival to kickstart the day.

There will be entertainment by ‘2 from 22’ before the ‘after party’ kicks off at 6pm with entertainment from Me & the Girl in the Main Lounge.

There will also be Fashions on the Field for those wishing to show off their race day attire and even two for $20 espresso martinis. Call Mulwala Water Ski Club Reception to book on 03 57441888.
