Welcome to 2023 for Tungamah Primary

Families were invited to attend the Tungamah Primary School welcome to 2023 school BBQ recently with many parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins attending for a sausage and to join the celebrations.

A Student Leadership badge presentation was also held on the day with School Captains Zade and Cooper and Sports Captains Ty and Jameson Dickins all presented with their badges.

Students pledged the Leadership Oath and were presented their badge by Tim McCurdy MP, as well as a special pen.

Preps then unveiled the school’s new tradition- the first Prep tree. Prep students will have their own tree to look after and grow during their seven years of primary school. It’s a native frangipani.

Ryder cut the ribbon, then all Prep students watered their tree.
