Mulwala 56 def Barooga 14

This weekend was another win for Mulwala A Grade. Excellent defence across all thirds provided some turnover and plenty of run through the midcourt.

The A Grade took the opportunity to play different combinations, highlighting the depth of the team. Looking forward to the challenge next week as the Lionesses head to Deni.

Awards: Royal Mail - Bre Boyer, Yarrawonga Toyota Mug - Lily Sharp, Lefleur Massage - Stephanie Hammond, Miss Dolly - Nicole Coates.

B Grade

Great win for the B grade Lions with 4 team members away. Shelly O'Bryan played for three quarters and let her opponents know she was there all game. Tayla Seccull also filled in and showed her experience in the circle.

The defenders were solid in defence for the whole 60 minutes and made the goalers work hard for every goal.

The two Hollie's combined well in goals and the midcourt made plenty of options throughout the court.

Great game by all the girls, with the reward of another win.

Awards: Mug and Royal Mail Award - Shani Dickins, Miss Dolly - Hollie Bartlett, Publicans Daughter - Chloe Burgess.

Great second quarter by the girls keeping Barroga down. The girls kept persevering and pushing forward however didn't quite make it in the end. Well played girls.

Under 17s

Mulwala 25 def by Barooga 34

By far the most impressive game with great patience and space made from the midcourt.

The defenders worked hard and there were some of the best long bomb goals we have ever seen. The team is on the improve each week.

Awards: One Zach - Ruby Spiteri, Wingates Intersport - Myley McGlynn, Zambreros - Lily Cameron.

Under 15s

Mulwala 55 def Barooga 13

Another great team effort by the under 15s this week. With so much versatility in the team, the girls were once again able to swap their positions up.

Abbey played a great defensive game for the

first half before holding strong in GS to finish off. Taylah and Jemma ran the midcourt for the whole game, reading the play and taking many intercepts. Well done girls.

Awards: One Zach - Jemma Riches, Lake Mulwala Bakery - Abbey Ferguson, Zambreros - Taylah Bigger.

Under 13s

Mulwala 19 def Barooga 13

First quarter saw the girls up by two goals with great defensive pressure and accurate shooting. Barooga's midcourt was fast, but the girls did well chasing loose balls and reading the play to shut them down.

Great game girls, and first win on the board.

Well done.

Awards: Zambreros - Summer Ibbott, Paradise Palms - Nat Linehan, Food Mill - Chloe Smith.

Under 11s

Great start by the girls in attack with a lot of great goals and turnovers in the midcourt.
