Yarrawonga Bowls
The Easter tournament went ahead on Good Friday after a worrying night of heavy rain. It was decided to open the new green in conjunction with the tournament.
President Rob welcomed everyone and declared the new green open. Life Member, Joan Ramsdale cut the ribbon and another Life Member, Una Campbell rolled the jack down.
On the Friday it was a matter of rain, hail and shine throughout the day but luckily enough the hail came down just as the last of the players finished the game before the lunch break.
It cleared and although it looked a bit threatening and there were a few rumbles of thunder, it held off long enough for the players to get the last 2 games in.
We were very lucky to get all games played over the 4 days.

This 4 day tournament is a massive effort by a large number of volunteers from the club, far too many to thank individually and the scribe would hate to miss anyone out so “a big Thank You” to all of those members that helped in so many ways to make this Tournament the success that it was.
