The Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg is currently featuring the work of women artists from India. Called “Facing India”, the exhibition focuses on six artists whose work is being shown for the first time in Germany. It explores the influence of India’s strongly patriarchal society on women’s lives. The artists, all in their late 30s and 40s, use a wide variety of media, from video installations and photos to sculptures and drawings.
