The number of people travelling on Britain’s privatized rail network has more than doubled since 1995, the last year the network was operated by British Rail. There were 1.7 billion passenger journeys in 2016–17, compared to 735 million in 1994–95.
The number of women leading major US companies has dropped by 25 per cent, according to Fortune magazine’s 2018 list of top CEOS. There are now 24 female chief executives, compared to 32 in 2017.
