Do you stand out?
Here, we provide some key phrases and expressions you can use to highlight your strengths, skills and qualifications in your covering letter or email.
9. Use your connections
Kate: Starting with “Dear Sir or Madam” isn’t great. Find out the name of the HR manager. You need to namedrop the recipient and, ideally, someone else in the first line. Having a referral gives you a better chance at getting an interview.
10. Simply the best!
Kate: This one is really good. Take out “I would be thrilled to join such an innovative company” as you already say “delighted”. Good luck!
