5. In the office

Jean: So, Marcia, can I offer you something to drink? We’ve got sparkling water, tea, coffee and a variety of soft drinks.

Marcia: Do you have any green tea?

Jean: We do. This one is with jasmine. Have you had breakfast? Marcia: No, the food on the plane did not look good.

6. Lunchtime

Ron: Please help yourself to the lunch buffet, Marcia. It’s all been prepared by our in-house caterers. We have a vegetarian selection here, and this platter has chicken, this one has salmon. And as you have a peanut allergy, there’s not a nut to be seen!

Marcia: That’s a relief. It looks fantastic. You’ve gone to a lot of trouble.

Ron: Do try the dips. This one is made of tomatoes and olives. What do you think?

8. Drinks first?

Jean: That was a very productive day. I think we’ve earned this meal!

Marcia: Good idea.

Marcia: I think I’ll have wine. Jean: This restaurant has an excellent selection of internatio­nal wines. I can recommend the Malagouzia.

Marcia: I’m a fan. That sounds perfect.
