EOne of the greatest joys of any wine enthusiast lies in the inexhaustible variety of wines. At the same time this can be a reason for despair, especially for inexperienced wine lovers who wonder which wines from which winemakers to turn to. Luckily for them, the LOISIUM vinotheques are aware of that – and as such are nominating their »Winemakers of the Month«.

Each month, the LOISIUM locations select a different vintner from the immediate vicinity to showcase their wines to the LOISIUM guests during various events.

EXCLUSIVE WINEMAKER EVENTS

»We organize a Winemaker’s Talk with a Q&A with the current Winemaker, complete with a tasting in our vinotheque«, explains Wolfgang Pfanner, vinotheque manager at LOISIUM in South Styria. In addition, guests can join on excursions to the wineries and learn how they work. The highlight of each winemaker’s month is the Winemaker’s Dinner where 14 guests enjoy an exclusive six-course dinner. The perfect pairing is, of course, the wines provided by the Winemakers of the Month who also join the dinner to explain all about their philosophy and working methods. A special philosophy is also at the heart of the selection process of the Winemaker of the Month. »We only choose winemakers from the immediate vicinity of our hotels. They may be no further than two towns away«, says Christian Minarik of LOISIUM Langenlois. To provide guests with as broad a picture as possible, the selection includes both renowned wineries and newcomers alike. This way, guests to LOISIUM never have to wonder again which wines to turn to.
