Making WAVES
When Dyson, a worldwide successful technological enterprise, announces the launch of a new product, one’s ears automatically perk up. Not only because the quality products are particularly quiet, but because the high-end devices always deliver what they promise. The innovation, the “Flyway” attachment, makes for a smooth shiny finish.
Honoured visionary: Sir James Dyson, who elevated to the rank of Knight Bachelor in 2007, is one of Britain‘s most innovative entrepreneurs. He revolutionised the market with the almost noiseless bagless hoover. In 2016, the visionary succeeded in another stunt: he introduced a superlative hairdryer, the Dyson Supersonic. The modern device with the special opendesign impressed with the novel „Air Multiplier“technology and the original attachments. After all, each Dyson „Supersonic-box“includes a diffuser that spreads the airflow evenly, a styling nozzle for precise looks, and a „Smoothing“nozzle for gentle work. Of course, the high-end device has its price; hundreds of engineers have worked on it for four years and tested 600 prototypes. All of this is said to have cost the imposing sum of 64 million euros.
Striving for progress
James Dyson is always forcing research and pushing his team forward. Recently, they presented the unique „Flyaway“attachment. Owing to the original „Coanda effect“, this attachment tames the unruly hair without weighing it down. It is easy to use: after washing and drying the hair, the new „Flyaway“attachment is used. It ensures that the longer hairs are slicked down and brought forward, while usually shorter, baby hairs are pushed through the strands and bent into shape. In this way, the strands can be better orientated and the natural shine is enhanced. During the entire process, the temperature control measures the air temperature and immediately regulates the heat. As a result, no heat-related damage occurs. The technique allows for efficient salon-quality styling.
