Mediterranean wonderland

- By Svitlana Lavrynovych

Unobtrusive luxury that is noticeable everywhere, yet remains discreetly in the background, is what many wish for when they choose a luxury hotel. More important than pomp and splendour are comfort and a design that is a treat for the eyes and blends in with the surroundings. The hotel “Anassa” follows exactly this concept. It is off the beaten tourist track and, with its extensive gardens and private beach, is the perfect hideaway for anyone who wants to retreat to a spectacular setting. The rooms, suites and villas are located in houses modelled on a Byzantine village stretching towards the sea. It is a breathtaking sight that makes the stay a royal experience. It is a retreat that looks opulent for its elegance while reflecting Mediterranean charm to perfection.

The world of Augustinus Bader

The incomparable architecture is not the only reason why the “Anassa” seems incomparable. It is also the first resort in the world to feature products and spa treatments from the premium cosmetics brand Augustinus Bader. The German-born namesake of the beauty brand is a stem cell researcher and initially devoted himself to researching medical skincare products that are used, for example, in the treatment of burn victims to support skin renewal. Together with the team of the hotel’s own “Talahassa Spa”, Augustinus Bader developed exclusive beauty treatments in which the highly sought-after skincare products based on his “TFC8 technology” are used. The brand’s select clientele also includes fashion designer Victoria

Cyprus has always magically attracted people. The sea, the landscape and the feeling of freedom are the stuff of holiday dreams. Those who wish for all this (and more) should make the luxury hotel “Anassa” the hub of their holiday.

Oasis of peace and relaxation

The extraordinary treatments by Augustinus Bader are not the only highlight of the spa.

Its centrepiece is an indoor pool surrounded by white columns, which gives the feeling of still being in the midst of Greek antiquity. The comfortable lounges offer contemporary comfort and invite you to linger. Part of the fulminant ceiling construction is glazed and allows a view of the sky, giving a feeling of weightless freedom. The 18 spacious treatment rooms offer a variety of beauty treatments, including massages, facials and algae baths. The inviting sauna areas and steam baths are the perfect place to relax in the high temperatures and humidity. Since exercise stimulates both body and mind, the range of sporting activities on offer here is by no means in short supply. Whether squash, yoga, swimming in the saltwater pool, or endurance training in the fitness room: here you can tailor your training plan to your individual needs.

Innovation in heaven

A vital body and a healthy mind need to be nourished. Top-quality is of course a priority at “Anassa”. It is the only hotel in Cyprus that produces its own cheese, bread, baked goods, jams and sauces on site. Fresh, unadulterated taste is what is valued most highly. In addition, the focus of the four restaurants is on seasonal and regional products and specialities - this is entirely in the spirit of sustainability. A very special ingredient is the sea view, which can be enjoyed alongside the dishes on offer. The “Anassa” is a small paradise, an oasis of peace with unique architecture and an impressive connection to nature. At the same time, special activities, such as a private wine tasting or even a pottery course, entice you to think outside the box and embark on new adventures.
