From Dubai to Moscow - when looking for gourmet hotspots you should take a closer look at this list, which will touch your senses. In each issue, people from the branch reveal their personal favourites. Current: Daria Romanenko, co-publisher and managing director of L’officiel Monaco, who shares her insider culinary tips around the world.
“FLAMINGO ROOM BY TASHAS”, DUBAI
“The ideal place for a nice evening with the girls,” Daria Romanenko explains about the restaurant located in Jumeirah Al Naseem. The name says it all, as retro-style interior is decorated in the soft shades of pink and is entirely Instagram-worthy.the same goes for the artfully arranged dishes, which are served alongside cocktails and relaxing lounge music. Culinary recommendation: “You have to try the tuna tartare and cauliflower with truffle sauce!”
“WHITE RABBIT”, MOSCOW
The next recommendation takes over one of the first places: “On the 16th floor, in the middle of the historic centre of Moscow, you can enjoy Haute Cuisine as well as a magnificent sight of the city.” Chef Vladimir Mukhin, a fifth-generation chef, is responsible for the innovative menu, interpreting local ingredients and offering exquisite courses.among the Monegasque publisher’s favourites are the rabbit pate with truffles and the stuffed with king crab ravioli. “GRAND CAFE DR. ZHIVAGO”, MOSCOW
Another discovery leads to the Russian-born chef’s old homeland: “The ‘Grand Cafe Dr. Zhivago’ is a perfect example of the contemporary interpretation of Russian cuisine!” The name is deceptive, because the restaurant in hotel “National” does not have much in common with the novel of the same name - but the view of the Kremlin and magistrates like Boeuf Stroganoff still make it a representative hotspot that combines the country’s tradition and its new outlook.

“If I could only visit one restaurant for the rest of my life,‘la Piazza’ would be my first choice,” says the media entrepreneur about one of the oldest Italian restaurants to open its doors in the Principality of Monaco. “Here, everything revolves around hospitality, a convivial atmosphere and, of course, homemade specialities. My favourite dish is the ravioli the stuffed with foie gras which are served with a truffle sauce.”
“AMADOR”, VIENNA
heart of Vienna’s city centre,” says Daria Romanenko about the restaurant project by the big name Martin Ho., who recently came up in the titles of the magazines with the opening of his restaurant “4o4”.“the mixture of bar, restaurant and gallery is definitely on my to-do list when I come to visit my colleagues in Vienna!”(3)
“COYA MONTE-CARLO”, MONACO
From Peru to the whole world! The culinary concept, with affiliates in London, Dubai, Paris, Doha and Mykonos, based on a journey in the Andes and carries the Latin American lust for life to Monaco. “A harmonious mix that combines Fabrizio Fossati’s fusion cuisine with a grandiose cocktail menu and the background of DJS music!” (4)
“I’m always open for culinary experiments, that is why this multi-award-winning restaurant in Vienna’s district of Döbling should definitely stay on my list,” says the businesswoman. “The multi-course menus uses all the tricks of the molecular cuisine, playing with textures, exciting the palate and expanding the horizons of taste - a unique gourmet experience!” (5)
