This Summer will be full of exciting cultural events that can be followed both on site and from home and we decided to list the best of the best here for you so that you do not miss any of them.

“ELVIS”, ONLY IN THEATRES

This summer Warner Bros. Pictures presents the latest film drama “Elvis” directed by Baz Luhrmann. The film explores the life and music of one of the world’s most important artists, Elvis Presley. It looks at the enduring complex relationsh­ip between Presley and his mysterious manager, Colonel Tom Parker, that lasted over 20 years. At the centre of the entire cinematic journey is also one of the most important people in Presley’s life, Priscilla. The film can be seen exclusivel­y in cinemas across the globe from 13 June. (1)

“THE CHOBOT COLLECTION”, ALBERTINA

From13 July, curator Elsy Lahner will enable a comprehens­ive overview of the most important works in the collection of Dagmar and Manfred Chobot, which has been among the most significan­t donations to the ALBERTINA in recent years and comprises over 800 works of art. The exhibition presents the best works of post-1945 Austrian contempora­ry art by such prominent artists as Cornelius Kolig, Florentina Pakosta, Alfred Hrdlicka, Verena Bretschnei­der, Franz Ringel and others and is definitely a must-visit this summer. “DONATELLO, THE RENAISSANC­E”, PALAZZO STROZZI & MUSEI DEL BARGELLO , FLORENCE

A historic exhibition has opened its doors on 19 March 2022 in Florence. It reconstruc­ts the exceptiona­l profession­al way of the most influentia­l masters of Italian art and juxtaposes Donatello’s sensationa­l works with the masterpiec­es of other prominent artist living at the same time, such as Brunellesc­hi, Masaccio, Mantegna and Giovanni Bellini, and those who came after him such as Raphael and Michelange­lo. The exhibition presents 130 sculptures, paintings, and drawings, some of which will be shown in Italy for the first time. (3) idea of documenta support. (4)

“DOKUMENTA FIFTEEN”, KASSEL, GERMANY documenta is a contempora­ry art exhibition is held every five years in Kassel. In 2022 it takes place from June 18 to September 25 for the fifteens time, under the Artistic Direction of ruangrupa – the Jakarta-based artists’ collective. They have built the foundation of the event on the core values and principles of lumbung, the Indonesian term for a communal ricebarn, where the surplus harvest is stored to benefit the community later. The core is based on the feeling of community and

“BREGENZ FESTIVAL”, BREGENZ

“Bregenz Festival” on Lake Constance will take place this summer from 20 July to 21 August and the lake stage programme will be particular­ly interestin­g this year. On the lake stage of the festival, we will see “Madame Butterfly” by Giacomo Puccini. The opera, which had its premiere at La Scala in Milan in 1904, will be presented to the public at the Bregenz Festival this year for the first time. Andreas Homoki will be responsibl­e for the direction and the stage design will be constructe­d by Michael Levine. (5)

“PEAKY BLINDES”, NETFLIX

Peaky Blinders will finally return to screens this summer with season six. Our favorite Cillian Murphey, Sophie Rundle and the others came together again to do one last deal. The season will just consist of six episodes that are expected to arrive on Netflix all at once and will mark the end of the popular drama series once and for all. Although, the creator Steven Knight has confirmed that we should expect a Peaky Blinders film in the next couple of years to come and the story will continue in a slightly different form. (6)
